মাকে নিয়ে দিতি ও তার মেয়ের গান

বিনোদন ডেস্ক : বাংলাদেশের জনপ্রিয় অভিনেত্রী পারভিন সুলতানা দিতি শুধু অভিনেত্রীই নন, তিনি একজন সুকণ্ঠী গায়িকাও ছিলেন। বাজারে বের হয়েছিল তার দু’টি একক অ্যালবামও। এমনকি সিনেমাতে তিনি প্লেব্যাক করেছিলেন।

সর্বশেষ ২০১১ সালে ‘ফিরে যেন আসি’ শিরোনামে তার দ্বিতীয় একক অ্যালবাম বের হয়েছিল লেজার ভিশনের ব্যানারে। আর সেই অ্যালবামটিতে দিতির অনুরোধে ‘মাগো তুমি বিনে দেখা হতো না’ শিরোনামের গানটিতে তার সঙ্গে কণ্ঠ দিয়েছিলেন তারই মেয়ে লামিয়া।

‘মাগো তুমি বিনে দেখা হতো না’ শিরোনামের গানটির কথা লিখেছেন শহীদুল্লাহ ফরায়েজী। সুর করেছেন পল্লব শ্যানাল। এছাড়া প্রায় দুই যুগ আগে অনুপম রেকর্ডিং মিডিয়ার ব্যানারে প্রকাশিত হয়েছিলো দিতির প্রথম একক অ্যালবাম ‘তোমার ও চোখে’।

এদিকে অনেকদিন পর ওই গানটি ইউটিউবে খুঁজে পেয়ে রীতিমতো আবেগাপ্লুত হয়ে পরেন লামিয়া চৌধুরী। রাজধানীর ইউনাইটেড হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন দিতি যখন ক্যানসারের সঙ্গে লড়ছেন তখন এ গান যেন তার ভেতরটাকে দুমড়ে মুচড়ে দেন।

এদিকে ফেসবুকে গানটি শেয়ার করেন লামিয়া। আর সেখানে তিনি লিখেন, ‘When I was in my late teens mom decided she wanted to release a solo album of her songs. She wanted me to sing a song with her in the album. I was emotionaly blackmailed, ordered, pleaded with, cornered and hounded till I agreed to sing this song that was totally not my style. I was into whatever western pop shit kids were into those days and thought myself way too cool to be singing a sappy bengali duet with my mother. Tears were shed, tantrums were thrown, harsh words were exchanged and then this finally happened. I never told my friends about it, the thought of anyone finding out was like social suicide to me. It was a secret I thought I would take to my grave. Today this came up on the suggestions bar on youtube and it just hit me like a tonne of bricks. I don't know who posted this, but THANK YOU.

Its funny how things that were once embarassing can suddenly be so meaningful now.

If I could, I would sing a hundred more sappy duets with you now, Maa. And I would be honoured not embarrassed. But its too late now and this is all I have. I will share it, blare it loud in remembrance of a time when our love was whole and in that moment, through the angst and hurt, we had it all.
